Within the Unit for Prevention and Investigation of the Elderly, we meet people aged 65 and older who, due to aging and its consequences, need support and assistance.

We receive applications, investigate, and make decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL). We follow up on decisions to ensure that the user’s needs are met. We also work preventively to promote a safe, independent, and active life for seniors through health-promoting activities, guidance, and information. We also offer support to relatives through early and directly targeted support forms.

We are now looking for a temporary placement consultant. Do you want to be one of us?

Your tasks

As a placement consultant, you handle assignments related to special housing that they implement within the elderly care’s nursing and care homes in Umeå municipality.

Your role includes:

• making implementation decisions on special housing
• sending assignments to the relevant housing
• ordering lease contracts
• offering city offers
• ordering inspections of apartments in special housing that have become vacant

About you

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another equivalent education. You have experience working in elderly care. Experience in case management and authority exercise is an advantage.

To succeed in this role, we believe you enjoy a lot of contact with people and that you are service-oriented. It is also important that you are flexible, attentive, and have a good demeanor. The work can vary in pace and workload, which requires you to prioritize and be able to work independently.

We value good collaboration skills and that you communicate in a clear and solution-oriented manner. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
